THE GIRL WHO TRIED MOTHS
Year of production: 2014
Running Time: 6:18 min
Color / Sound / Drama
Based on the adaptation of the Boy Who Cried Wolf, this short film follows a similar storyline with the familiar moral value that one should not lie.
The Girl Who Tried Moths is loosely driven by the internet trend in recent years, where people believe crazy antics they read or watched online from social platforms, no matter how ridiculous it might be. It displays also the anonymity of the internet, how easily one can give an opinion to someone else without thinking of the consequences behind their words. As the introduction of the video presented, people do crazy things, but are they really crazy, or just trying to gain attention? What makes people crazy? Are they labelled 'crazy' because of their acts, or are they carrying out the acts because they are born crazy?
A much needed clarification that moth eating does not create symptoms as exhibited in the film.
